A "vision" as I use the word, if when a picture appears in my mind, fully formed and consistent in appearance whenever the memory associated with it is triggered. There isn't always logic or reason to how it looks. For example, I don't know why her hair is blue. It just is, and if I were to change it, the link to the memory/thought/emotion would be lost, even if the picture would benefit from the change. The more solid the vision, the more time it takes to paint. Visions are demanding in their representation, unlike experimental paintings where I can go where the paint takes me.
